Well, to being with I'd say almost every song on the led zep albums that preceded In Through the Out Door. And on that Album I'd say IN the Evening and All of My Love were better.
That being said, Fool in the Rain is a really good song.

I also love in the evening and all of my love. So good. The whole album is outstanding...well, maybe not hot dog...

Agreed on every count, except I'd say Fool is better than the two other songs in the album you mentioned. It's the highlight of In Through The Out Door, along with Carouselambra.

"Abraham, Martin & John."

not even the best zeppelin song ever made, not even in their top 5 imo

ok, give me your flash top five without thinking too much
and I will love them all, by the way

off the top of my head I'd say (in no order):
achilles last stand
stairway to heaven
when the levee breaks
going to california
all of my love

That's a solid list. Achilles last stand puts you into the "real" zep fan category. Nice.

Maybe, but including when the levee breaks takes you right back out of the category. that one bites.
I prefer "The lead singer of this band likes boys." by the John Utah Band.
The studio version, though. Not the live version usually played at bath houses and the like.

Your anger and rage is awesome
You're not serious? Perhaps you meant The Rain Song?
Traveling Riverside Blues
Kashmir
Going to California
No Quarter
Whole Lotta Love

That is an outstand list topped by TRB.
Is being a big fan of Fool in the Rain a runner thing? That song is always playing through my head during long runs. In Through the Out Door is a great album all around, no matter what early Zep purists say. I'm Gonna Crawl is one of my faves.
My top Zep songs:
Bron-Y-Aur Stomp (no really)
When The Levee Breaks
Going to California
The Ocean
The Rain Song
All Of My Love
I'm Gonna Crawl
Fool in the Rain
Funnily (sort of), Going to California is always stuck in my head during long runs. Well, as far as I can remember the lyrics anyway.

Sorry that's like my least favorite Zep song or one of them. Doesn't even sound like Zeppelin to me. Way too light and pop sounding.
Favorites:
Traveling Riverside Blues
You Shook Me
How Many More Times
Whole Lotta Love
That's the way
I Can't Quit You Baby
Dazed and Confused.
Babe I'm Gonna Leave You
Yeah I'm a big fan of Led Zeppelin 1

B.S.! When The Levee Breaks is DOPE. Definitely top 5 for me.
Good Times, Bad Times
Since I've Been Loving You
Battle of Evermore
When The Levee Breaks
The Song Remains The Same
Achilles Last Stand
That's a decent top 5 favorites for me, even if it's 6.
I'm always surprised by how little love "Ten Years Gone" gets when Led Zeppelin tunes come up in discussion.
