Hey everyone, so last night while I was on a date with my girlfriend, I got a text that said our meet was canceled! So we had an 800 workout today:
2 mi warm up at about 6:40 (felt really good)
6x800 with 1 - 3 min rest (changed based off which training group was starting and forgetting to start in time)
@ 2:49, 2:41, 2:34 then a little longer break, 2:41, 2:41, 2:41
Then basically a walk pace jog for 2 miles cool down
Overall it felt really good, the 2:34 almost made me puke, but we were supposed to drop 5 - 10 seconds every 800 for the first three and I accidentally went 5 seconds too fast on the first one (supposed to go goal race pace for 2.5 mi which was sub 14:30 for me) and I really surprised myself with how evenly I ran the 400/800 of each 800, negative splitting on all of the second set! Overall it was really great! I would've rather raced, but I'm sure this workout will help a bunch, especially since we've been stuck inside since Tuesday.
