Hey everyone, here is my current set up for Daniels 2Q program.
I'm concerned that I am running too slow on the days that I am not performing a quality workout and that it will end up sabotaging me on my marathon race day (October 15th).
Though Daniels does not have any specific guidelines for non-quality workout days and he basically just wants runners to log miles, i'm wondering if I would see more benefit if I ran my easy days faster or ran certain easy days faster than others.
My current set up is
M: 6 miles @ 9:30 min/mile
T 6 miles @ 9:30 min/mile
W: Quality workout
Thrs 6 miles @ 9:30 min/mile
F 6 miles @ 9:30 min/mile
Sat 6 miles @ 9:30 min/mile
Sun: 2nd Quality workout
My current fitness is around 8:15 min/mile for the marathon pace but i'm gunning for an 8:00 min/mile.
Any suggestions?
