You are absolutely correct.
A few things:
1. Only the top 2% can make a living from Instagram, which is usually combined with other social media. There are couple girls, perhaps the top 1% who are making multiple 6-figures. These are the ones who have become a brand and will often own a fitness and beauty business, do public appearances, appear in videos etc., and often have a social media expert working along side along side of them. These will often have an almost cartoonistly perfect body. These girls also usually end up relationships with entertainers, athletes or in general guys with money. Some go them will go the nude route as well, which has tremendous income potential, albeit usually at the expense of Instagram money. They are usually making enough money that they don't need go over to the dark side.
2. The second tier, which is about 18% are making a few dollar here and there. They are making about the same amount they could be making working part time at Kmart. These girls are hot, 'normal hot', no implants and/or Navy Seal type workout routines. There are the ones who are most susceptible to branching out into less decent form money making.
3. Unfortunately, the majority of the girls, about 80% of them, net of expenses, aren't making a dine. They become addicted to the attention, don't know how to work the social media system and/or basically either don't care too much about making money because they have regular full time job. Sometimes they get free stuff and lots of date offers. They might be making some money, but unless they are doing their own makeup, photos/video, no fitness trainer, waxes, tans or paying for social media help, etc., they are usually spending more than they are making. Btw, this social media stuff takes so much time and is so public that they usually end up getting fired if they have a corporate type job, which most of them don't have because Georgetown graduates aren't Instagram models.
Sleeping with rich men for obviously happens, but don't assume this is something Instagram models. I know quite a few of them and they would never do that. With that said, it does happen, but not enough to generalize.
To the poster that said there are advantages to being a female, they are correct. A beautiful woman can turn her body into a product and make money from it. However, the problem is, no matter how hot you are, you only have a window of about 5 years to cash in. Nature takes it's toll and after a while people have seen hundreds of pics of you and simply move on to next hot girl. Perhaps the biggest down side is, even if you need step over to the dark side, the majority of men (not all), will see your social media modeling a blemish on your resume of life.
A final note, I would tell any young girls to stay clear of the Emirates countries unless you are an engineer or teaching English. Its basically a trap. Everything is so expensive that girls end up in prostitution just to eat. There are so many Eastern Europeans girls prostituting to that if you are White, guys assume you are for the taking.
