Training for a marathon in 6 months. Solid base in. Nagging injuries make me cautious to add speed. I seem to respond well to this type of run:
10 miles slow total
including
.25 mile bursts @ 5k pace every mile
My question is: what type of benefit is this giving me? Is there anything wrong with this type of run? Jack Daniels threshold pace runs knocked me down too much so I switched to the above and feel much better.
