Hey guys, I know there's tons of threads around here that are like this, and I know that u guys are often trolls, but can someone give me a ballpark range of what I could run a 5k in during XC?
2 mile pr: 10:42
1 mile: 4:56
800: 2:17
I'm a rising sophomore so I understand that I will probably never have a kick, but I'm doing serious base building right now. Any chance of sub 17:30?

There's not enough information for us to tell you. You'd get better estimations if you provided weekly mileage and a general outline of how your track season workouts went.
Why do you say you'll never have a kick? Plenty of runners don't see a big development in speed until junior or senior year. Don't worry about it.
Your times from track are very similar to my sophomore year, and I ended up running 17:34 in the next XC season after averaging 50-55 mpw over the summer. So, yes, I'd say sub 17:30 is very possible.
I ran 218 459 and 1120 frosh year off of 25mpw and then in summer I had no idea what I was doing and ran 15-20 mpw and then in xc I ran 30mpw. My first season doing xc and ran 1712 so you could easily go sub 1730. If you get some higher mileage than I did probably sub 17

First of all, thanks for the encouragement.
Second, I did 60 miles two weeks ago, 45 miles last week, but with swimming as well. I don't have a gps watch, so I completely run by feel, which is usually 7:20-30 pace during the majority of the runs and sub 7:10 for the long runs of >11 miles. During the track season, I think I did 4x1200 in a little over 4 minutes with I think 3 minutes of jogging rest for my toughest workout. Threshold intervals were more common: 3x6 minute miles
Your times in track project 17:30 already. You just have to get back to that form or better. Based on your training, shoot for sub-17 on a fast course.
yes, honestly if you put in good work this summer you can run under 17. I'm a rising sophomore as well with similar pr's (10:45, 4:55 (1600, not mile), 2:20) and right now I'm shooting for sub 17. Btw what state do you run in, I'm curious if I'll race you.
