The number of amputee actors actually exceeds the rate of amputees in the general population.

I recently read a study that 97.6% of men who oppose equal rights for gay people (especially the right for them to marry are gay themselves). This is especially true for men who believe being gay is a choice and those that post on message boards about their outrage at the inclusion of gay characters in movies.
Please cite study, if on fact it is an actual study. Most likely it was funded by the same people who gave us the global warming charade. I don't like to see men running against women in the 800, and I don't like two guys on the top of the wedding cake.

Probably the same reason that your scumbag nation covers 3 hrs of coverage for the Paralympics.
anti-gay = you're gay wrote:

Some people might say you don't have a leg to stand on asking this question, that you've really stuck your foot in your mouth, but I gotta hand it to ya, I'd give an arm and a leg to the know the reason.
Eugene, Oregon is the only Track Town USA

One of the better runners on our relay team was missing part of his arm. In most relays he excelled at the "hand-off" part.

despite all his skill and hard work he never seemed to be able to gain the upper-hand over his opponents though

I know this guy
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0682521/You are talking about a small subset of the population and a smaller subset who can act. Others, like Hugh Herr, are busy doing something incredible with their lives.
Why are there not more amputees in Hollywood?
Because they tend to squirm a lot when you try to lop off a body part.

Hold it right...THERE!
There may be more actors than you think. In regular street clothes wearing prosthetics, so how would you even know? One of the leading British actors of yesteryear, Herbert Marshall, lost a leg in wartime but he was still cast in as a "biped" constantly.

Or even talking to one on LR? ;)
There are many people with 'invisible' disabilities. Some are those are actors - and runners - too.
