I believe many male runners on LetsRun are selling us male runners short. Few serious runners are part of the obesity epidemic. Very few of us smoke. Very few of us use illegal recreational drugs. Many of us eat fairly well. And many of us do some strength training of some sort or another which, while likely not adding much bulk, does help to keep us lean and cut. A fit look is very attractive.

Is a fit look a look that seems you're strong enough to carry 4 grocery bags in each hand look?

I always thought older more mature women at least go for the big forearms and beefy guy look.

I feel there's something slimy about skinny runners. Like the only way they can get in your pants is by mind games and niceties.

However, women hobby joggers don't aim for the evacuated look because they lose everything - breasts, ass, thigh jiggle.

The very few serious women I see running - it makes me question if they question if it's worth it. They're no Dibaba, and I'm no Max King.

I would agree. I can only speak as a female runner, but I find male runners attractive even if they are skinny. I think part of the attraction stems from having the same hobby and passion for the sport as myself. It's not about how you look, it's about your confidence that makes someone attractive. Maybe the guys of LR just need to get more confidence and realize there's probably ladies out there that find you attractive even if you are a skinny runner dude.

Conversely, do female hobby joggers not go outside if they aren't confident with how they look? It seems to me that looks don't stop guys from exercising, but looks for women really prevent where they go and that makes me sad.

Are you male or female. If you are male OF COURSE there are more attractive female runners. That is the way it's supposed to be. I can't believe this passes as a post. Watch it will get 100 responses!

Show me a skinny confident guy. I bet he is known as the funny, down to earth type too.

In college, probably. Most non-competitive runners don't sit at 130lbs though and even just 10-15 extra pounds makes a pretty huge difference aesthetically when you are lean. I'm 5'10 150lbs and often get complemented for "looking fit". Being thin and lean gets better and better with age too. Just turned 28 and most people I graduated high school with already look like sh**.

To answer the original question, Bruce would have said one thing, and Caitlyn would likely agree.
