I self-identify as a Clydesdale-division runner. Not actually being a Clydesdale, I have an advantage over overweight runners, all other things being equal.
So along with my point of all other things being equal, here's a related question:
Competing against people in the same class, which is to say XY chromosomes, a certain testosterone level, whatever, can we say that either A) Semenya only has average athletic ability, or B) Semenya isn't reaching her potential, for whatever reason?
If I get into a race and a Clydesdale runner (Ajee, in this analogy) very nearly beats me, and there is no doubt that being in the Clydesdale class is a disadvantage, all other things being equal, doesn't that have implications?
