Sunday: Long Run (with a group, 10+ miles)
Monday: Morning Spin Class (Instructor; 30 minutes in the morning focuses mostly on sprints and climbs decently high intensity).
Evening is generally an easy run AND/OR attending a 'Bootcamp' style class which in limited (but fast) running and lots of body weight exercise.
Tuesday: Speedwork, rotates between hills and track week to week. I do this with a group and act as the 'coach'.
Wednesday: Evening Spin Class (Instructor, 40 - 45 minutes), Followed by east run (40 minutes), followed by Bootcamp class again.
Thursday: I typically rest or take it really easy.
Friday: Nothing solid here; right now I generally rotate between running easy + bootcamp and running for 9 - 10 miles. Sometimes social life interferes and I do very little or nothing.
Saturday: Typically I join a morning group run at a local runners store. Moderate intensity and usually 6.2 miles.
Obviously it isn't really a well optimized schedule for improving my running (and it is still improving), but there are several points where I am relatively 'locked in' and I was wondering what the primary recommendation people would have for making this a better schedule.
Things that can't really change:
Sunday Long Run (Enjoy the social aspect too much, it is what makes me love running and the pace is pretty much perfect for me anyway).
Spin Classes (I'm the instructor)
Tuesday Speed Work (I do better with the pressure of a group and lead the workouts for other people)
Things I would prefer not to change:
Bootcamp class at least once a week
Saturday Group Run (again nice social aspect, I can drop back or up the intensity on this one. Adding something before or after is also practical most weeks)
No specific goals. Just looking for a general improvement since my training is decent volume but very 'haphazard' right now.
