I'm trying to fit with my running buddy's schedule. Our club isn't together anymore, so they have a plan with a new person. We're running two different races this summer (mine's in 3 weeks). Their new plan has workouts on Tuesday and Thursday, and they said that they have a hard workout tomorrow if I want to join (I'm training alone.) However, our old club used to do Sunday long run, workouts on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and Saturday off. All I'm doing is repeating our old club's workouts as they worked wonders for me before.
Could I do the workout with them tomorrow, then do a long run on Sunday, then short speed on Monday (200s probabaly) to stick with my schedule? We've done this once (race Saturday, long run Sunday, speed Monday). Or should I say no and stick to the old plan? The only goal is to stay "competition ready."
