Hey!! I'm 32 years old and I have been practicing for the hockey tournament which is to be held on 29th of this month in my province. It's been a while since I played hockey but it was all fun. I was enjoying it a lot.
Unfortunately, while practicing, I tripped and fell on the ground hitting my face. I was scared about the marks on my face but thankfully there was nothing. I washed my face and started practicing again. A few seconds later, I experienced severe tooth pain and when I checked, I saw my dentures were broken and also my gums started bleeding. I was shocked and didn't know what to do. I called upon my dentist to schedule an appointment but he said he is not in place. He will be back only after a month.
One of my friends suggested going to an emergency dental care in Toronto (

). She said that they accept only emergency cases. I'm planning to visit the dental care tomorrow as I'm finding difficulty without my dentures and also my gums are hurt. I have kept ice pack and took Tylenol for pain relief. Hope I could fix my dentures soon so that I could start practicing again. I won't practice without fixing my dentures as it will affect my self-esteem. Also, I'm worried about the gums. Has anyone here with a similar situation? Any advice is highly appreciated. Thanks!!
