I know it seems universally loved, but I really don't enjoy going to the beach. Hot weather, sand getting everywhere, sweat, etc. I burn easily so I'm sure that's part of it, but being in the beach all day is so damn uncomfortable.
Anyone else?

Yup. Can't stand it. Hot, sandy, boring after about 30 minutes. I grew up in Colorado so I don't have any childhood beach memories/emotions to build on. Now as an adult I live in the northeast and the beaches suck as compared to, e.g., socal, but people here think they're world class. Which makes me hate the whole thing even more.
Not a big beach fan. I would rather be in the mountains than the beach.
Enjoy looking at women's big butts and juggs at the beach.
It sure is a pain in the ass when you have toddlers.
I hate that sh@t man. Sand gets everywhere, you get sun burnt, and you go home feeling like you have an acute case of mononucleosis. But oh my gosh, it's the beach, we gotta go get covered in sand and salty water!!!!
I like Alpine skiing. I only use running as a punishment for a bad diet day.
Another beach hater here. I'm a ginger...burn very easily. I'm an introvert...hate crowds. Had a near drowning experience at 17...hate water.
No thank you.
Beaches suck. I could never understand why people would want to spend thousands of dollars on travel just to sit on a beach all day for a week. It's boring and the water stings.
IMO, forests are much better. More diversity, more things to do/see, and cooler temps.
Agree, beach is really overrated, sand everywhere, energy drained in the sun, pretty boring after 30 min as was said. Have to agree that going to some sweet trails in a forest or any park is far superior
I do agree the mountain, forests and lakes are much more enjoyable. However on a nice day, it is nice to pull up a chair, sit back have a few beers and watch/listen to the waves roll in. Taking a look at the horizon is kind of inspiring too, to think about how powerful the ocean is.
Also in winter the Oregon coasts get really stormy and that itself can be fun to watch from afar.
That said, ill always prefer the mountains. I don't really enjoy being in the sand playing, it takes weeks to get out of my car !
Y'all make me laugh.
Bonfires
Babes
Beer
If your beach list includes toddlers I pity you.
Not a big fan. I don't know how people can sit there all day long. Only oro for men us that there are at least as many women in bikinis as men. The bars don't have those odds.
Pros:
Hot chicks in bikini's.
Cons:
Significant drowning hazard I have to keep my kids away from.
I don't like sand. It's course and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.
I begin and end my run every other day at the beach. Even in winter in Maine as long as the snow is not impassable. When warm enough I jump in after the run. Its beautiful but I dont like just lying there baking. Walking, running jumping in waves yes.
Not a big beach guy, but not all beaches are created equal.

Yes. Especially if I just finished a trial and have been working every waking minute for a month.
All other posts irrelevant .
You get it Alpha !
I don't like sand.... it's coarse and rough and irritating, and it gets everywhere.
I don't like the beach. It's boring, hot, and crowded.
