It is ridiculous that they are only now getting around to issuing a provisional suspension.
This story first broke in early March.
There are very, very few facts in dispute. Everybody agrees Frankie/Yemli received the funds from Papa Massata Diack. The only matter at issue is whether these funds were legitimate or not. Frankie Fredericks claims that they were funds he was owed subsequent to a contract he had signed for personal services/promotion. If that is true, then IAAF should have all the documents needed to validate that. If IAAF does not have those documents, then there is no question that this was a breach of ethics.
He should have been provisionally suspended on March 4 and the entire investigation should now be concluded.
