Pete,
I recently wondered, how strong was the ACC Women's distance running last year ?
So I looked at the 2016 XC Championship:
There were 15 teams scoring with a 131 finishers.
NC Sate dominated with 9 women finishing in the top 29 runners. (Granted, it was on their home course) But you had to wonder, if the other teams were sleep running.
The interesting question of quality really came up; when I looked at the NCAA Outdoor Championship meet results. Because that NC State team had only 2 women there and neither of them scored at the meet.
I think that only 2 ACC women scored in the Distance events and the highest was the excellent VT 800 runner, Green.
The lack of ACC women at that meet, makes you wonder about the quality of the Women's side. I hope this may help you, Pete.
