In outdoor I missed about a month due to concussion and flu. I'm trying to get into really gold shape because I want to crack varsity, and hopefully go sub 17.
My past 2 weeks I have ran 45, 50. I've been feeling pretty good, but last years seniors are telling me I'm gonna burn out. None of them really ran over 30mpw, and definitely didn't run more than 25mpw in the summer.
None of them broke 17, however they did run 17:02- 17:40s.
I want to improve from my time, but they tell me I'm gonna burn out. Should I just keep running my mileage and go for it?
