I was curious after reading the boxing thread and past bets/predictions on here. How much have you bet on? i.e. At the casinos, horse/dog races, sporting events and even the stock market? What's the most you've lost or gain? Just wondering.

Â¥46,000,000,000.
It took me 2 years to earn that in-game currency. If I lost, I would have quit the text-MMORPG. I lost and I quit instantly. I never did return to that game.
I once won 1000.00 on a slot machine in Vegas. It paid for my weekend trip.
One night at a bachelor party I had a hard time sleeping since we had 10-12 guys sharing a suite, so at 3am I headed down to roulette. I lost $5 on black, so I bet $10, lost that so I bet $20, lost that so I bet $40. When I lost that I decided to put $100 on black and won. So I was up $25. It was dumb but paid off in that case.
My uncle in Utah bet €5000 on Jager at 9:1 odds to medal in Rio last Summer. It was on some U.K. betting site. The funny thing is, he gave almost the whole thing to Habitat For Humanity. He's already really wealthy.
Dropped 385 dollary doos on Federer to win 3-0 last night.
Won 800

Those were pretty good odds considering how he'd dominated the tourney, but congrats.
I've never done casino games except once in Manila, my friend took me to a casino and we did some game similar to blackjack and each won a couple hundred bucks on a modest buyin. I didn't even know the rules beforehand so it was definitely beginner's luck. Was mostly Asian expats/tourists at the table there, some of whom were betting pretty high stakes. I wouldn't consider the stock market "betting" unless you're buying something like speculative options.

I once put a quarter in a slot machine (back in 1989) and won $25. I stopped right there. Later, on a trip to The Bahamas, I put about $2 worth of quarters into a slot machine and lost it all. That's the most betting I have ever done (other than literally a handful of lottery tickets ever).
when you understand stuff like this without a blink you have been around too long!
RE: What's the most you've bet on?
More of a better than at first glance.
Go to the race track once or twice a year: betting budget $200
Bet the Triple Crown Total 70 bucks
Buy or share a couple boxes in a couple Football/SuperBowl pools: total $100
Buy a couple brackets in March Madness pools $100.

Interesting to read this completely legal in UK.
Can you not access sites like Betfair?
Years ago I was going to Vegas and a friend said put $5 on double zero on the roulette wheel for me. So I'm walking through Caesar's Palace when I remember I have to bet the $5. Only one table is open and no one is in the place so I walk up say $5 on double zero. He says "It's a ten dollar minimum bet." which explains why no one was there. OK, fine, put $10 on double zero. Of course it came up double zero, I got my $360 and walked away. I'm sure they were wondering how the hell I did that.
I'm pretty sure I've lost money every other time I've been in a casino, so they've gotten all that back and more.
I was playing numbers for the Colorado lottery, I literally picked the numbers out of a hat.I put 42 numbers in a hat, pulled them out, played them just short a year......Well , I won....4.5 million, went for the lump sum cash...1.2 million

So it was about fifty bucks played
In Vegas, my friends and I racked up a 400 dollar sushi bill, when we got the bill we each threw cash on the table for our share, then just sat there for a minute, looked over at the roulette table, we decided to put it all on black and won. There were five of us, so 80 bucks each.
