They came through 600m in what looked like 1:20, so the third 200 was really slow, which just isn't conducive to fast times in the 8. I think 1:46/7 is a pretty normal performance for a 1:44 guy in a race paced like this one.
It was an absolute sh!t performance for Sowinski.
I will excuse him for the slow first lap. The pacer stunk and hit 400 in 52.3. Sowinski was fourth at that point, but that was just the way the stagger fell out and I won't criticize him for not fighting tooth-and-nail and running extra distance for position on the first lap.
What I definitely WILL criticize is that absolutely crappy 28-second third 200. That is like pace on the second 200 of a women's race. Sowinki continued to run the p#ssypace, sitting in behind Tuka and the Kenyan and not doing a thing until 100 to go.
EVERYONE THINKS HE CAN KICK. Amazingly, Sowinski, who can run 50.xx/53.xx-->1:44, sat around from 400-700, didn't close faster than 54 off of a sh!tty 52 opening lap AND yet had nothing useful down the straight.
