...if he shows up at all.
He knows he's not the same guy and should have called it a career after Rio. If he doesn't fake some ailment to get out of it he will be beaten.

No sh*t he's old now

5 years younger than Gatlin.
10 years younger than when Kim Collins set his pr and 12 years younger than he is now.
That is two of the people he'll meet at WCS.
Of course, he is also 9 years older than Andre deGrasse.

9.74 1st
19.45 1st
Bolt isn't running the 200, even if he was he'd get beaten by Van Niekerk.
He's probably in about 9.90 shape right now.
Wouldn't be surprised to see 9.80 from him in the final. That could win.
If he doesn't win the 100, Jamaica will probably win the 4x1 if the UK doesn't.
Best case 2 golds, worst case 2 silvers.

Obviously you know nothing about sprinting.
How many years since he's came anywhere close to times like that?
And, no 200m.

I can't see a 9.80 or a Jamaican 4x1 win. So two silvers is about right,

He is always shaky going in and always rises to the occasion, German doctor stunts and starting line antics included. Eat your hearts out haters.
So who beats him then?

Andre DeGrasse
Yohan Blake
Justin Gatlin
All have very realistic shots at it. Yes I do see Bolt putting up a fight but coming up shot this time around.
Funny. I don't think you realize the depth of the sport.$$$$$.
Bolt loosing, you gotta be kidding me.
Did you not read where he will visit the " German Doper" before WCs.
Trust me, I get todays track world.
Bolt simply won't have his usual late race endurance. And all the money in the world won't change that.
So what do you think his doctor actually does for him and be specific.
Pull up injured or false start?
If he ain't feeling it in his first heat he will fake an injury in his next race.
But....
Even if he is feeling it it just won't be there this time around, he is losing in 2017.
Bolt has always been know for slow starts to season, and peaking at exactly the right moment. Although his results have not been encouraging, there is no one who can truly say they are leaps and bounds better then him at the moment. Coleman is fatigued, Gatlin is barely under 10, De Grasse has struggled in the 100 besides the one wind-aided performance and Akani Simbine is too inexperienced.
It won't be easy but Usain Bolt can definitely beat the field even if it is not the fastest time of his career. He is a competitor and a racer and he will show up when it matters most.
Coleman is just a kid, he's way past being fatigued now.
Gatlin is also a big meet competitor.
Andre DeGrasse has always ran faster in a majors.
Yohan Blake could explode at any minute.
Bottom line...
Bolt is no longer that guy, he has been running slower and slower from one season to the next, he got real lucky in 2015. Well his luck will run out this time.
Such claims have been made before-every year since Yohan Blake first became a big shot circa 2011.
I doubt Bolt loses.
This year will be different, and I really am wondering if he even competes. I wouldn't be at all surprised if we hear about how his back problems just won't allow him compete this season. This guy will not chance going out a loser.
