Didn't Edris also close his 7:32 in like 54? Outkicked kwemoi as well
Mo won't be on a doping peak right now.
Maybe he is working on his tactics in a real race. Practice makes perfect.
Completely agree with OP. I have no respect for Mo. He's a fraud. This guy couldn't beat the world's no. 20 in any event years ago, but then nearly overnight he became unbeatable. Oh yeah, sure. Whatever. Then he "races" like this. I hate it too and I'll be glad to see him retire from the sport.

Seeing him jog in the very very back during the first lap, I just stopped watching. It's just so obnoxious/arrogant. It's a weak field. We know you can win! Go for time! I hope he gets destroyed in London.
He had an exihbition set up for himself, no way to lose, a weak field beside him. Why not go for his relatively weak british record of 7:32? No, instead he goes straight to the back as if he has to race taticly against that shitty field. For those the think Mo Farah is the GOAT, let me ask, why does he not go for times, exspecially in set up races like these. I got the awnser, it's because its because hes a scared p*ssy. In 2011 and 2012 when he wasn't cemented on top of the worlds he would race against great fields. And he set his PBs in those races. Know he is to scared to get beaten or not set a world lead so he just races everything tactically. What a P*ssy
Also for those who think he's in way to good shape to be beaten, he closed a 7:35 in a 55 last lap, sprinting all out to the line. Edris went 12:55 with a 55 second last lap. A 12:55 to is much faster than a 7:35, so no, Farah is not in great shape right now. In rio no one was beating him as he was in great form, but he's not going to be in that form in London.
Almost as if he has some sort structured training plan he is sticking to. Imagine that!

And that structure requires set up races and going to the back in a weak field is what you're saying...
I think he is a drug fraud but these races are more about the promoters than Mo. He does deliver in the champs where it counts.
You people are all so completely full of it. Farah is talented and smart and his main responsibility is to win. I doubt many of the London fans were disappointed.

Funny the "Fact King" didn't include any dates. All but 1 are 2-4 years old and actually prove theposters point.
I don't care much for Farah, but as to why the race was set up for him: it was a farewell race, probably his last non-championship track race on British soil, I'm sure the fans were psyched to see a national treasure leave in style. Didn't impress me much, but I'm not British and didn't go.
And as to why he farts around and runs tactically, watch Nick Symmonds's interview from a couple weeks ago, in which he hates on fast, rabbited time trials and says the sport is about racing and competing, not fast times. We can argue about that, but track undoubtedly grew out of one-on-one competition, without set distances and without much thought for time. It was just a competition to see who would win on the day, no history.
And Farah's found a niche for himself: being a winner. His brand is winning. Tons of people probably think he's a WR holder (besides the indoor 2-mile or whatever secondary event record he has), and tons of people pay to watch him race, go to events with him, buy products he endorses, etc. Why risk getting beat outside of the main stage?
Disliking him makes sense from the perspective of most LetsRunners, the flag-bearing base of the sport, but it isn't difficult to see the other side. The guy probably brings in more new fans to the sport than anyone else except Bolt.

I agree. I will be happy when he retires from the sport. This was a Meeting of the Diamond League, the elite athletics series. It should be the goal of any promoter to build the best possible fields (with just some little devergence for local wishes or the wishes of the top stars who not always want to compete against each other). But this is just too much. I also lose little bit of the big respect which I always had of Steve Cram. No comment at all to this. What a laughable race.
To clarify: nothing bad to have an easy race to test your tactics or whatever. but in a big Diamond League meeting it's a shame.
Seek therapy if Mo Farah upsets you that much.
I'm not joking.
I agree. It was predictable, like a scene from Grounhog Day. A very poor field. What is worse though is the inane drivel that comes out of Brendan Foster's mouth during commentary. He think Mo is not only the greatest distance runner of all time (he isn't!), but the greatest British sportsman (from any sport), ever!
The man has no sense of reality.
He's supposed to be retiring as a commentator this year too! About bl**dy time!
Who cares about the British record, does he not have enough of those already? Anyway, I would have liked to see him make a serious attempt at the 10K WR at some point, but otherwise he always had a slim to no chance at any WRs so it doesn't really matter.

He never had a shot at that one either.

This is beyond parody, when do fast times expire? Presumably by this logic Bekele's time trial world records are also out of date?
Proves that only medals count in the long run.
