I have not been able to run consistently since last October because of Osgood Schlatter's Disease and it is still bothering me nine months later. The pain seems to come and go, as I have been able to run for a week or two with little to no pain, but it soon comes back to a pain making it unbearable to run. I have been going to the chiropractor and the physical therapist very often and it hasn't seemed to help. I went to an orthopedic clinic earlier this year and they told me that this pain might go away until I stop growing, and they seem to be right (16yr 5'10'' 128lbs). I have been stretching my hamstrings, quads, hip flexors, and calves daily and have also been strength training three times a week (surprisingly does not hurt the knee). Since the time of my injury I have been cross training 5+ times a week every week to try to stay in the best shape I can. I missed out on track this year and cross country season is coming up and I have not been able to get my summer miles in. I know junior year can be a pretty important year for recruiting but I don't know what to do if I can't run this year, and I am just really missing running right now. What the heck should I try to do??
