I was in Switzerland on business one time, suffering from jet lag, and I almost mentioned to the Swiss guy I was with that I was that I was surprised there weren't more Volvos...
Pretty sure Swedes and Swiss don't get the two mixed up.
Because they both european countries that start with sw.
Try Slovenia and Slovakia!
They only get mixed up by Americans who have no idea where these countries are. Everyone else manages just fine.

Just like very few Europeans have no idea where North Carolina or Virginia are.

Yes, and any U.S. middle or high school World History course provides this information.

Came here to say this. They get each other's anthems played at sporting events all the time. Last time was a few weeks ago at the World Hockey Championship in Germany.
Even their flags are almost identical.
Try the Arctic and the Antarctic.
Really, I get Sweden and Syria mixed up these days. Thankfully Switzerland has effectively banned those people.

Bullsh*t! A few weeks ago at the World Hockey Championships in Germany, the Slovakian team was honored by the German organizers with the Slovenian anthem. I think there were actually some tears on the Slovakian side because of it.

I don't know. Sweden is awesome, but Switzerland is filled with ultra conservative mountain trash. They finally just started to allow women to vote in the 1970's & they're strongly anti-Muslim.

Which is why it's a really nice place to live. Unfortunately, woman are too easily motivated by feelz campaigns and letting them vote usually results in a growing welfare state, breakdown of traditional families, and importing "refugees."
Here's some Swedish media damage control that really drives the point home.
It's so sad to see what they've done to their country.
