Sorry, 3:35.25. Congrats to him, Centro, and Gregorek. After this race it looks like we're sending the right team.
whys the standard so soft

They want some real Americans to have a shot.
Good job Robby. I see him in the final next month.
Pretty good race, got 4 guys under
Looks like Sal will be working with Engels on that closing speed and tactics more
What is the standard? 336.0?
Yes that is the standard. Answered my own question.
Lol Blankenship ran the entire last 1200 of the race faster than Robby and still lost. That's gotta sting.
god i have to say i was so happy to see blankenship not win. i was really pulling for engels but GREAT to see gregorek get it. what a run
Engels still got the standard (3:35.95). If any of the 3 currently going (Centrowitz, Andrews, Gregorek) become injured or otherwise drop out then he goes to Worlds.
Congrats to Robby!!! I'm a Blankenship fan but I agree it looks like we're sending the right team, with Gregorek winning tonight, Andrews winning USA's and course Centro.
Engles has wheels (arguably better at 800 right now) and is smooth as all hell. Give him some time on the sauce with saladbar to get stronger aerovically and he will be blowing doors in the last hundo.

Merber cut him off with 500 to go, seemed blatant. Do they have a beef together?
Robby is a championship style racer. Not really a time trial artist. If he makes it to the 1500m final and it's sit and kick, watch out.
I somehow doubt after that olympic race that this WC will be eon in a time over 3:37
I could hardly sleep last night thinking about Ben Blankenship's heroic move down the backstretch of the last lap. He's soooo inspiring!
Awesome when four of our guys get the standard in one race and it is the same day that Centro in Europe also runs under the standard again, in 3:34. Hopefully, Centro will be in top form by World's next month, and Andrews could contend in a slow race as well. I don't believe that with four Kenyans in the race probably they will let it go slower than 3:40.

People always say this, but no. He's just afraid to be anywhere near the front. The first time he actually he took the lead before the last 50m of a race, look what happened- a US title. He needs to be more confident so he isn't sitting back and trying to kick from 8th to 3rd.
