Gee, I don't know, who would win in a fight, a salamander or a dinosaur?
Also, this is fake, yeah? Can't find anything on it on the internet and am kind of ashamed for having actually done so.

Yep, jeez. Can't believe I kind of fell for this. This is a gimme.

Considering salamanders are still alive and dinosaurs aren't, I'm going with the salamander.
Lausanne Diamond League race. Not a joke.
I think the real question is. Who is the future for Ethiopia? Yomif or the 17 year old kid?
Funny thing is Yomif is only 19

According to IAAF he's 17. Selemon Barega. Whatever his age, he definitely ran 12:55, and looked great.

Both can be, btw anyone know what's up with Hagi? Havnet heard from him in the past year
If a 16 year old Norwegians can run 3:56, I don't see why a 17 year old Ethiopian, from the country of distance greats, cannot run a 12:55 5000m.
How old is an Ethiopan 17-year-old?

Agreed, plus if you look at him he doesn't look like he's 40 or something, actually looks like a kid
Could he have beaten King Ches when the King was the King?

Sure, in theory, but in practice all of the obvious "age cheats" amongst the Ethiopians and Kenyans brings every supposed junior into question.
J. Ingebrigtsen is a once-in-a-generation talent, while seemingly every year we see a Kenyan or Ethiopian (and the rare Ugandan) junior running world class times. Often many of them.
Kejelcha ran 12:53 at 18 back in 2015, Gebrhiwet 12:47 at 18 in 2012, Aman 1:42.5 at 18 in 2012, Edris 13:04 at 18, Hadis 26:57 at 18, Demalesh 26:57 at 18, Mekonnen 2:04:32 at 18, etc. then for Kenyan add in I. Koech running 12:53 indoors at 17 (now 4-5 years later he seems to be all washed up) , Kitum 1:42 at 17, Kwemoi 3:28 at 18, a whole host of junior 1:43:xx guys it seems, and many other examples I'm forgetting.
All of this in only the last few years. Maybe it's possible that many of the East Africans peak at an earlier age but it seems just as likely that many of the 17-19 year olds are really a few years older.
However old Barega really is, this was a super impressive run. A 20 sec PR in his first ever big-time 5000, in what looks to be only his 2nd year on the circuit.

Tf? A 12:55 5000 is so much better than a 3:56. Like not even comparable. Ethiopians and Kenyans either lie about their ages or they don't know them. I doubt most of them have official birth certificates.
Not a chance that he is even close to 17. But he's awfully good. All he had before was 13:21/13:15. Now 12:55. Hermens and drugs? Or another Dutch or Italian agent?
As noted before, he is taller than at least Henrik and maybe both by now.

Lausanne DL, genius.
