Well, I think we can safely but LAX ahead of Eau-Clare for this season. UWEC had a good run these last few years, though, and we should respect that.

A lot of movement this week. Different courses, but Lax and Marquette ran almost identical average times for top 5. Id give a small edge to Lax at this point.
I’ve been pretty surprised with Milwaukee this fall. They ran a 25:50 average and they still haven’t raced Noah T yet. Is he redshirting?
I thought Parkside and whitewater had pretty tough weeks, was expecting much more out of them. I believe they will rebound because they have some solid talent.
I don't really have a stake in this, but I gotta say, if you're a D1 school (Marquette) arguing with a D3 school (LaCrosse) about who is better, than you lose that argument solely on the fact that you're arguing with a Divsion 3 school. Kinda sad, isn't it?

I have been thinking the same thing. It seems this thread is full of current Marquette runners (probably the pretty terrible ones) defending their team against probably the entire WIAC sticking up for the D3 schools
We'll never know who really it was commenting here; that is the nature of internet trolling. In fact, it could be all LAX people or all MU people commenting! My point is, these arguments only have weight in relation to the person behind them (and when was the last time a registered user commented?). I doubt there are really that many current runners making these comments. They are too crass and detrimental to running in Wisconsin (and the running community in general) to be from a person currently invested in the sport.
Coaches Stanley and Nelson would cringe at the comments in this thread; they are an insult to the sport of running. Friendly competition on course and friendship off the course is part of what defines running as a sport. My hope is that these posts are being put here by running alumni who have lost their class since they've left college. The sad alternative is that they were made by runners who don't have class.

I'm not saying La Crosse would have beaten them, but they would have probably finished close to them today. Wisco is a total embarrassment this season. They will miss making NCAA's for the second time in three years. Maybe its time for Mick to go.
Top Performances this year:

Youre only as good as your last race dude...and your last race sucked.
Add the "truth" stat for coaches who tell the truth. Mick will be at the bottom of the truth stats!

No rankings this week yet? Been looking forward to them for a little while
Flotrack has the Wisco men NOT ranked this week. Wisco women are ranked because they are GREAT.
Sooo looking at conference results between the Big East and the WIAC, La Crosse would stomp Marquette. The courses of Parkside and Whitewater are pretty comparable (whitewater being tougher if anything), and La Crosse had a faster team average....without one of their top 3 guys. La Crosse would have put 7 or 8 guys in before Marquette's 3. Sorry to the Marquette team members and fan boys on this forum, but y'all couldn't even win the WIAC.

Also, what's up with Eau-Clare? Who would have guessed at the beginning of the season that they would lose to Stout?

this is pretty spot on. courses are fairly similar but if anything whitewater is tougher (not the other way around). Marquette and Stout would probably be a better matchup.

Flotrack copying and pasting the coaches rankings and making slight adjustments to them doesnt mean squat. Badgers took third at Big Tens with a big performance from Hoare. They'll be in the hunt for qualifying.

The Badger men dropped out of the FloXC rankings after a dismal 25th-place showing at their home invitational in Madison. With national title contender Morgan McDonald now clearly redshirting, the conversation moved from where in the top ten they'd fall at NCAAs to whether they could make it to Louisville at all. Sunday's Big Ten championship race was certainly a step in the right direction as Oliver Hoare and Joe Hardy placed first and second individually and the team placed third behind FloXC #15 Michigan and FloXC #17 Michigan State by a pretty slim margin. Wisconsin was just six points out of second place and 17 points from first and will race both teams again at the Great Lakes Regional.
No. 20 ranked Minnesota didn't have a great day and finished sixth, which could also net the Badgers some much-needed points for at-large consideration.

Hoare's turnaround is especially spectacular as the sophomore was just 114th at Nuttycombe. Now he's the Big Ten champion.
It also helped to add No. 4 man Zach Snider back to the line-up for the first time this season; he finished 32nd overall and guided a trio of Badgers to finish in the 30s with Tyson Miehe placing 33rd and Finn Gessner, a true freshman, placing 35th.
All of the above from Flotrack
1. Wisconsin
