*That* is how you qualify for the worlds mixed-gender 800!
No the top 3 spots are reserved in the mixed gender 800m run.

I think she will. Nobody in the world has negative split a 1:57.
Go Hamburgular!!
top 3 negative split
Her balls aren't big enough

Not really possible. Those men will mow her down if she gets even vaguely close in the final 50-100m. It is pathetic watching women race against men.

Doesn't matter when you're racing 1:55 dudes.
I think it's her second fastest 800 of her career. Super impressive. Hope she can take down the American record soon.
Good, but she is a steer in a field full of bulls.

Heifer in a field of hermaphrodites.
I'm sure Ajee will "have a beef" if those 3 are allowed to run. . If they sweep the medals , Wilson " will have a cow" of that I am certain.
Anyone have video of the W800 final? Youtube has most races but not this one.

Even and negative splitting are faster than positive splitting. 800m runners seem to think their event defies the laws of physics for some reason and love positive splitting.
It isn't physics, it's physiology. Due to the influence of ATP-CP metabolism, both the 400 and 800 are best run as positive split. From 1500 on up, even or slight negative.video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=246_K176-Rg&t=201sAjee always looks smooth, but that final straight looks incredibly easy for a near-PR. She is in AR condition...now.

that's an undrafted -ve split 1'57.7
formula i use to adjust to gold-standard 2s +ve split race is
Correction = ( 2nd lap - 1st lap - 2.0 ) * 1/3
applying it to her splits ->
1'56.61 !!
considering also lack of drafting which she coud expect from 200 - 400 on 1st lap at ~ 0.7s/lap
->1'56.26 !!!
all this after rounds !!!
in a 1-off, fully-rested, smoothly drafted to bell, 2s +ve split race, i'd expect her to be right around 1'56-flat mark

No, physiology is a subset of physics. There is nothing special about ATP-CP metabolism in this context. No matter the molecule, positive splitting is NOT the best way to run your fastest time.

Sir, I believe we saw quite clearly that the best way to run your fastest time in the 800 is on PURE HATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Getting stripped of that record is going to be great for her in the long run. She's pissed and the 800 is the best event for that.
