Why was Brazier looking so disappointed when he saw the results pop up on the board? Does he not have the time standard yet?
He wanted sub-1:44.

Then why did he let up before the line?
Track & Field is so boring to watch TV. Way too long between events. No action.

Windle (yellow singlet) last at 400 and big move for third. NBC no mention?
Perfect race for him.
Masback picked Windle before the start and then mentioned him again on the race replay.

He knew he had won and didn't realize how close it would be.
T and F is dead, beautiful afternoon, millions of people off work, nothing to do, and no ones comes besides the family.

Of course he had the standard. It is 1:45.9.
Funny how good the US is in the 800, where all of the real contenders have the standard, compared to the 1500 where even the medallists are so lousy that they have to "chase" every single WC.
it's time for sowinksi to retire and move on.he's not going to get faster

Wow. Looks like Sowinski may have done what was "most comfortable" for him by leading, but it ended up being a poor strategy as he wasted energy and wasn't strong enough the last 200. Huge congratulations to the three that made the team -- Harris is running so well! U.S. has so much young talent at 800 in Harris, Brazier, and Muprhy.
Women's 400m hurdles is stacked. A couple great hurdlers going home today.

It's because the 800 usually has at least one runner pushing the pace. Not so in the 1500 where fast from the gun 1500s have become seldom to none without a rabbit.
Was not expecting that from Muhammed. She equaled her PB of 52.64 after a rather average season. Little had a great late push to run 52.75. Carter in 3rd ran under 53 as well, and McLaughlin set a new WJR, but only got 6th
That was a Hell of a Race!! Lots of PR's and thankfully, nobody fell.
Dalilah Muhammad is gorgeous!
