I don't think he's capable of running the standard in time.
Craig Engels will go!The first ever runner with a mustache and a mullet!

So does Greg have the standard?
Runners without standard shouldn't be in a trials race.
It should be a direct race between those who are eligible.
Andrews ran 3:34 last year.. What makes you think he can't run a 3:36?
Engels doesn't have standard too.

Hahaha. Robby has a better shot at it than Craig. I think the next finisher who actually already has it might even be...Blankenship in 12th??

That is correct.

Since Engels didn;t finish top 3 is he allowed to also chase the standard for the spot or does it automatically go to Blankenship if Andrews doesn.t get it.

Yes, if Andrews does not get it and Engels does then Engels would go. A similar situation happened in 2009 where Maggie Vessy finished 4th without the standard and ended up going to worlds after running 1:57.
With that said I am confident that Andrews will get the standard.

Anyone in the first 8 finishers yesterday can chase to get the standard. So if Sam Prakel gets it and no one else within the first 8 does, Prakel goes.
Will the standard chasers go to Europe to chase or will there be opportunities in the states?
The tracktown meets would be great chances to chase without travel to Europe
Thank you for the capslock warning, when the announces said it seconds after he crossed the line yesterday.
How cool would it be if flotrack hosted a "meet of standards", got all the chasers on the line, got the pace set right, broadcasted it live and free, and let the fans watch good track on American soil?

That's silly. It's primarily a national championship not a qualifier so the standard for entry should be the same as they are when they aren't qualifying for anything.
I think only the top 6 finishers at USA's can chase the standard. If there are only 2 in the top 6 that have the standard then only 2 go to World's meaning that Ben Blankenship would not be able to go even though he's the next one in the field with the standard.
As to whoever said the trials race should only be those who already have the standard, that's a terrible idea unless you want to see very slim distance fields. There's been instances in the past where only one or no one had the standard going into USA's plus having filled fields makes the sport better.
Plus watching the drama unfold of runners chasing after the standard after USA's is always fun.

Seriously, try getting your facts right rather than trying to confuse people.

How about reading the rules yourself before you go on endlessly about something you know nothing about.
Top 8 can chase. If no one else achieves the standard prior to the deadline date of July 21st, the team will be Centrowitz, Gregorek and Blankenship.

Tracktown meets sound good. I looked up the series. I'm assuming they would want pacers to run that fast.
Went back and looked closer and Engels, Andrews, Gregorek, and Blankership (among others) are all on teams for the series.
