I thought it was funny how Centro laughed off Murphy's injury in the interview. He knew it was one of those "injuries" that happen when you unexpectedly lose a race.

you should add the link of centro laughing it off.
By 2019 Centro will be providing us with all kinds of excuses when he finds himself not making the team in the 1500, while Murphy and some other young guys are on their way to go race the world's best. Not attacking Centro, just looking at what's happening. Centro is just a bit put off by being run down by Robby. I won't be surprised if that again happens in London.
As for Murphy, he was trying too much too soon, but his potential for fast times, including fast times in big races, is much better than Centro's. Centro had a great Olympic race, and a lucky race, as no one decided to really take off with a couple of laps to go. Something like the Rio race, at that slow a pace, probably won't happen again for a long time, as a lot of guy's learned a lesson, seeing a stumpy legged guy with average speed (for a world class 1500 runner) just hang on for the win in a slow race over several more talented runners.
The Kenyans will definitely run a team race in London provided more than one of them makes the final. They won't let the pace dawdle. And that will hurt Matt. Centro will never run a fast time in a championship event even if someone pulls an El G and hauls the field around the track through the 1200 in 2:48. He doesn't have it in him. He might break 3:30 before he starts to really fade next year, but he'll be clobbered while doing it. He does't seem to have the extra gear to get close to records. Guys like Brazier and Murphy do seem to have the extra gear to run times that put might not garner WRs but will put them high on the all time lists. (Yes, Centro is going to fade, you read it here first. Not so much age but he's won the OLY GOLD and somewhere in his mind he knows he's not capable of 3:28 or better - so he'll either fade or move to the 5k for Tokyo)
Centro is going to smash Andrews in London, and likely everyone else along with him. I am no fan of the NOP, I'm just not blind or stupid.
^ Blind and Stupid
Centro is the goat... he would... Murphy did fake it for sure.
