W O W who saw that coming??
W O W who saw that coming??
I do. After watching Rowbury struggle, I'm saying right now Murphy won't make both teams. Might not make either.

I would guess you were being sarcastic, but it looks like you posted this before the 1500 began.
That would really humble the kid. Seems like he got on a high horse after last year. Obviously he is an Olympic Medalist and deserves the praise and recognition, but seems to have become a little too arrogant in the last little while.
Pick a side and go with. A few weeks ago you praising Murphy for going for the double.
I'm beginning to think let's run is part of the problem track and field
I predict he'll make the 800m team. He sandbagged it the last 150m and is conserving energy.
...I hope.

I did. I posted it right as they lined up.
http://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?thread=8276785I'm going to merge the two threads into 1.
for sure, he needs a reality check
Too bad he isn't with Saucony, he could ask Ray Treacy for advice on doubling.
Murphy looked amazing in the first round of the 800m. He has looked terrible since. I don't know who advised him on this double in such a short meet but that person obviously doesn't get it. Poor management for sure! If he decided on his own then hopefully this wakes him out of lala land to respect his opponents. I cannot say definitively that such a great athlete will fail to make the team but from what I have seen so far it is not likely. The 800m field is weak so that at least gives him a shot. Worst USA final in years.
My picks:
Brazier
Windle
Harris

LOL being ambitious and failing means he is somehow arrogant? log off Dad.

Bingo. It's a vile place...like a smelly abscess.
