Hi, so I have ran in 3 pairs of Topo Ultrafly. I have minimal issues in the previous 2 pairs. The 3rd pair has been a rocky road. The left foot feels super loose and the sole is coming off the right heel area. I think I bought a lemon. I have about 200 miles on the shoes already.
I bought the Flylyte to see how they felt, but the shoe felt to wide and didn't offer enough cushion. So I am returning them. Debating if I should buy another pair of Ultrafly's or any other shoe can reccomend I greatly appreciate it.
I usually am a 4E in Brooks and New Balance. Wear an 11 but wear 11.5 in Topo.
I ran in Altra Lone Peak for 2 years. I love Altra was a great durable shoe. I tried a road shoe of theirs similar to the Lone Peaks, but they weren't as wide as the LP's. Things could of changed.
Also a difference for me is Altra is a total 0 drop and Topo ranges from 0 to 5. I think not having the 0 drop and running on a 5 drop makes it easiet for me to recover after my ribs.
I have flat feet as well. I am running about 30 miles a week and long run is close to 10 miles. Hoping to run 20 by mid Fall.
Appreciate any feedback can give.
