Then why do you follow sport entertainment where people compete with each other by using all possible means including drugs?

Do you watch the NFL? 😉

Experience, kids. Experience. He definitely has a 9.8 something in the tank. Those arm pumps was something serious.
Dude just might win gold in London....too much experience
Agreed.
Yohan Blake will be in afor a treat. He could take bronze behind Gatlin and Coleman.
Am I the only one who thinks Coleman looks a little like Carl Lewis?
Oh, I forgot Andre.

Hi Justin! You're a great guy. For a two time drug cheat.
Who has stolen careers from clean athletes. Not that Justin himself is entirely to blame. The federations are okay with doping. Just bring wins and fans.
I am also in the "have come around to Gatlin" camp. It's hard not to admire his persistence, consistency, and technique. He looked infinitely smoother than Coleman yesterday.

Shouldn't we all be forgiving?
Justin has paid the price. No matter what he may have done (anything untoward), he is a wonderful athlete and I am a great fan of his.
I hope he wins gold.
Justin Gatlin is emblematic of the sport of Track & Field as a whole. The sport has become one giant turd pool, by which I mean a swimming pool dotted with a couple hundred floating turds. Sure, you can find clean stretches of water for swimming, but you're still surrounded by turds. The skimmer peels some turds off the surface, but there are always more turds. And skimming doesn't change the fact that you can't hope to swim a fast straight line without running into a bunch of turds. Gatlin has been swept into the skimmer twice, but then he gets tossed right back into the pool. Some people say, "Well, there are so many turds that we should all just accept turds or become turds ourselves if we want to swim." Some people say, "Well, there's plenty of clean water to swim in, so why should you care if there are hundreds of turds in the pool with you." Others say, "Unless a turd gets swept into the skimmer, you can't say that it doesn't belong in the pool." Some people say, "Well, since you're swimming well, maybe you're a turd, too." Personally, I've had enough of swimming with turds. And I've had enough of hanging out at a pool filled with turds. So until the pool maintenance crew gets serious, until they decide that even one turd in the pool is too many (Caddyshack comes to mind), I'll find someplace else to swim. And leave Gatlin and the other turds to swim laps in the turd pool.
You proud of this one? Gosh, just don't watch track if you don't like it.
+1 Good analogy. The only problem is it isn't as easy as the anti-doping agencies just changing their attitudes. Even if they got serious it is very difficult to catch the cheats. A better start would be to eliminate corruption at the top that protects certain dopers when they test positive.

Like a holocaust denier.
He is a shame to Track and Field.
He'll be setting records into his 40s at this rate.

How is this anything like a Holocaust denier?
Justin IS the best. I just hope that some day i can be as doped as him
Theyre just saying he has never admitted doing anything wrong, denies he has done anything and says its all made up, blames everyone else, gets pissed when anyone asks him about it (yet he also picks doped coaches like Graham and Dennis Mitchell). Why do people act like taking drugs is some simple act we should just move on from? Didn't anyone learn from Lance Armstrong? It may start with the drugs, then it changes to defaming people in public, character assassination, going after anyone who calls you a cheat and making people think they are the liar, defrauding millions of people who pay to watch, pay to go to these meets, and defrauding other athletes out of money, endorsement bonuses, even potential sponsorships because they taint the race. Plllease, don't feel sorry for Justin Gatlin. The guy is a stain on this sport and is still defrauding many of you.
This is exactly how I feel. Preach it, SoCal Pete!
Justin is an inspiration to us all. Such resilience in the face of adversity, such courage in the face of ignorance.
We applaud you, Justin.

Besides, does someone still think that Bolt in his prime was clean? I hate to say it, but that´s what I believe (that he has been on PEDs at some point at least).
I think Bolt and Jamaica found the next big thing before everyone else and used it. Some sort of neuromuscular enhancer, perhaps?
Back to Gatlin - there is research that shows that lab rats continue to have benefits of PEDs well after being off of them. I think most people in track know this and it is why you see a) Gatlin still running well late into his career and b) some athletes get "injured" for a year and then come back freakishly improved all the while passing every drug test. They cycle on when they're away and cycle off prior to competition.

Because I think it's part of human nature to want to be believe in the good but also the rational mind makes it difficult much of the time. Let's be honest... track athletes make a paltry amount of money compared to most other American sports, which ironically would force the athletes to be even more DESPERATE to be at the top of the top. You could be a bottom feeder in the nba or nfl, and earn at least a few hundred grand. Given this situation, why wouldn't any sensible, competitive professional track athlete try whatever means possible to gain an edge on their opponent? And the funny thing is people think drug tests are so hard to pass... if amateur bodybuilders going on stage in a bikini can pass a piss test then you can bet your sweet CANDY ass that a sprinter with a legitimate coach and lab scientist will be just fine. As with Gatlin and Coleman, well the joke is once again the DIRTY guy won... the way I see it is... Faster dirty sprinter won that day. The slower dirty won lost. Simple, end of story. Anyways, looking forward to worlds this year, especially with WVN, Bolt, and of course, the "clean", GLORY to GOD guys (Gatlin, Coleman and all the good Christian boys). The duel is ON!!!
Wait why did you get into a pool with poop in it?
GATLIN will win the WC 100. I called it.
His early sesason injury will prevent him from peaking too soon, Bolt is on the wane, Coleman won't hold his peak form and has no champs experience in any case.
1. GATLIN 9.79
2. BLAKE 9.82
3. DEGRASSE 9.85
I struggle with the sport including fans, coaches, federations, and athletes accepting some levels of cheating but not others. If those who are cheating with PEDs are okay, why not cutting across the infield in the 200? Maybe throwing a 4 pound shot put is acceptable. Somehow many don't see PED use as cheating and support and even praise those who have been 'caught' cheating multiple times. How many times have they gotten away with it. SoCal Pete seems to describe what many others feel.
