Experience, kids. Experience. He definitely has a 9.8 something in the tank. Those arm pumps was something serious.
Dude just might win gold in London....too much experience

He's learned from last year it would seem
Whole lotta hate about to enter this thread but I'm still a Gatlin guy... 35 years old, just super impressive.
Clean. Never testing positive.

I don't give a fock...The majority of TF athletes are popping pills.
But Gatlins form, speed, knowledge and experience are like no other. Dude is just masterful at running and being consistent. He knows when to peak.

like last year when he peaked for trials?
It took me a few years to come around to Gatlin - but slowly he's won me over. I felt bad for him in rio, when he came out for the 100 final, and when he did a victory lap with bolt afterwards, the crowd was booing him. He seemed to keep his chin up though. Good to see he's running well again
Are you f;&(/:& kidding me!? You felt bad for him? Why? He's a cheat! People need to actually be honest about what that means. It is theft and fraud my friends. Defrauding other athletes who made the choice that doing things the right way pays off in the end. Running not only PBs over ten years after his prime but running some of the fastest ever run well into his 30's after already knowingly being a cheat, pllllease. And he's not a very forthcoming or grateful cheat at that for being given so many chances. He never has come clean. Likes the Marion Jones book of excuses. Antagonistic to anyone even asking about his history or why he even ridiculously picked coaching setups with other cheating associations gives him even less latitude. No, I'm sorry, there's too many athletes that are doing things the right way and have some grace that there's no place to feel sorry for this a$$hole.
lets all boo gatlin and cheer for bolt in the name of clean sports!
^ boo every proven doper, yes. You can let suspected dopers slide if you want, your call.
It's just fortunate the 100 was held in a country where fans aren't afraid to boo like they are in the United States. The sport is dead in America because people act like it's their kids out there and they have to be positive. Go! Good job! Keep it up!
Calm down. You take things too seriously.
Hi Justin! You're a great guy. For a two time drug cheat.
Gatlin is an unapologetic doper. What an embarrassment to the sport and clean athletes everywhere!
Watching NBC fawn over him without mentioning his sordid past makes me want to puke.
Clearly there are not a lot of history majors on this thread. ;)

More like Doha. Glad to see he is saving it for worlds this year.
It'll be interesting to see how Coleman looks come championship time (he's had an incredible year who knows how long he can hold this form) but this race really showed Gatlinberg still has the spark
That said, if Bolt starts I don't think he loses, I'm just not willing to bet against him

Agreed. I feel similarly about Gatlin. Of course doping is wrong, but he's been vilified for so many years that I feel bad for him. He seems like a decent guy, and I got tired of Bolt winning for so many years in a row I really wanted Gatlin to win in 2015 and 2016, and was frankly surprised he didn't win with his domination on the DL circuit those years.
Besides, does someone still think that Bolt in his prime was clean? I hate to say it, but that´s what I believe (that he has been on PEDs at some point at least).

Pop pop seems to never have anything positive to say.

For many people, including me, it's hard to be positive about drug cheats.
