We used to run in the Congo in equatorial hot and muggy conditions-anything that was cold tasted good! Nothing too strong in alcohol or flavor-any basic light colored pilsner beer would do. Had a British friend who would mix his lager with coke, claiming its a sports drink. I have met a lot of British, South Africans, New Zealander, etc that prefer coke after a long hot run.

What is the best sounding song?
Miller High Life in a bottle, ice cold.
A cold and crisp light lager is the obvious choice.
If you're not into the whole carbonation thing, it gets trickier, but really, any beer without tons residual sugars should work well.

It is probably due to the clear bottle, but this is the only beer that I actually drink directly from the bottle.
A great choice for after doing a run, yard work, or moving some furniture.

The bottle is an engineering marvel, a work of art really. You're right, there needs to be some degree of labor involved, otherwise, its not quite as refreshing.
