Yes, competition is good! Would you prefer socialist protectionism which allows local industries/runners to get complacent and sub-standard? Thing about the US car industry of the 70s

True. Perfect score of 15 for the Americans.
Glad I didn't watch that. Won't be watching the 10k for a while now..
The guy (Biya Simbassa) who finished just in front of Rupp seems to have a great perspective on life. Worth reading this interview with him.

The 10000 has completely lost its appeal. No mo watching doped East Africans brought up by shady distance projects.

Americans were actually considerably faster on average before the Africans invaded.

Translation: Let's get some more pale faces like mine who can be competitive on the starting line.
Hassan Mead went to middle school and high school in the States. He's as American as they come.
I can understand the concern when an athlete like Gregory Konchellah began competing for Bahrain. One cannot be mad at Hassan Mead.
Good, maybe we'll finally have some US citizens not named Rupp that can mix it up with the world's best.

"Socialist" protectionism? The only countries in the developed world that protect (or want to protect) their citizens from foreigners are those who are lead by right-wing extremists, like Hungary or the US (Trump).

You missed the point.
He was referring to the fact that immigrants and globalism help competition and make the U.S. better. If we block immigrants and globalism (with tariffs and withdrawing from all of our trade deals) we effectively commit to a less productive, less competitive, and all around much worse place to live.
They did it without Alberto's taint. America should be proud.
You can raise a Greyhound in Newfoundland but it is still a Greyhound and the Greyhound beats even the best trained Labrador every day of the week.

Golden Retriever or Black Lab? Retrieving sticks from a lake or jumping through hoops?

^This. Also, how could one East African score places 1, 2, 3, 4, and 7 in a 10k, even if he could race in a national US race?

You can dope in Kenya and you can also run for Newfoundland while being a Kenyan doper as well
When 95% of letsrinners are cheering for the East Africans and not Rupp that should put an end to the false narrative that LRC is racist.
