Wait, you thought athletes were not human. What? Are you an adult?

Depression is a crippling and devastating disease. I have no problem with him speaking about his struggles with depression. From what I've heard, talking about it helps.
It is not, however, an excuse to throw as a blanket over all behavior.
I hope Cas gets help with his depression and I hope he has more accountability regarding his transgressions. I don't see those as being mutually exclusive.
But what were his transgressions? All we know is that he may have cheated on his girlfriend. Again, wrong and immoral, but that should hardly affect his professional life, all else being equal. If you were supervising an employee who did excellent work (as Cas was doing all winter, having broken a world record), you wouldn't fire him/her if you found out they cheated on their spouse.

lol
Are you trying to say that I'm wrong and that he did show some accountability?
after re-reading the post & the part of the message where he admits to making bad decisions, yes. lol.

It's bizarre how the Brooks Beasts would fire an athlete for dating a girl on the team yet would have an unregistered physio work with the team. They need to get their priorities straight.
Cas got fired for dating a girl on the team? Who? and why would that be a big deal? if 2 people on the team want to bone, who cares.
Not being forced on you: That is ridiculous when you say he put it on Twitter where he is presumably follow by people who are interested in his life and career.
Once you put that stuff out on social media it is going to follow you around a long time. There is at most maybe 10 people who should be privy to that kind of info. I know we now live in a world where the Kardashians are stars and people posts pictures of their dinner on Facebook but it doesn't make it right. Enough already.
I am sure he was upset with not advancing and was a little emotional. That is when you need time to reflect and settled down before rushing to post on Twitter. People need to be careful.
All that being said I wish Cas the best in his life and in athletics. I never understood the negative comments when he ran at Penn State. He was setting school records almost from his first race.
I'm not saying it was a good idea to put it out there. I am saying that no individual is being forced to read it if they do not wish to. It is moronic to seek out and read something on purpose, and then complain that you were forced to read it.
C'mon, this info can be easily found by looking at cas's Instagram. He still has pics of them together on it. And I don't think the issue was that they were dating, the issue was how their break up happened and why it went down.

Here's what happened: Cas was dating a woman on the team, was drinking heavily (like his time at Penn State) and was sexually aggressive towards another female member of the team. His girlfriend found out, broke up with him and Danny told him to settle down and not let it happen again. A while later, gets drunk again (probably bragging about how mommy and daddy buys him lobster at home and how he once had a BMW) and tried to advance on the same female once again and she told Mackey. Brooks finds out and drops him because that's a bad imagine to sponsor. No one else wants to sponsor a pervert, no groups want him, so he runs back to Penn State where he can be the "big fish" again and drink with the Penn State team.
Is that awkward that he was dating one person on the team and now someone else...
The coach should be fired for this not the athletes.
Didn't he write that he broke team rules? If I'm correct about that, then whatever he did must have been against the rules.
Was it due to some romantic relationship? Was she worth it?
