Stress fracture 7 weeks ago...doc said no running for 6 weeks, and I listened. I did nothing but walks and some bike rides for six weeks.
After about three weeks, I found that I began to actually lose some weight. I'm typically 152 or so...dropped to 145. It seems like what I thought was fat was actually a ton of water...not only in the stomach region, but also the legs.
This week, I started to run again. Each day, my weight has increased by about 1 lb .I'm currently at 150. Legs are puffy and flabby, and stomach looks like it's fat again.
Can someone explain this to me? Anyone experience this type of water retention?
(I do have hypothyroidism, though I'm not sure if it's related. I do take synthroid.)
