I'm not sure if Garcia is injured, but I noticed a weird hitch in her stride from early in the race.

So BroJos how is the sunny & 90 ºF weather @ 8:30pm treating the athletes? Must be a little rough on Steeplers. And moving the 10k start to 10pm (1am Eastern) - what a great venue and way to showcase track talent.
You are aware that Eliud Kipchoge ran a 12:51 5000 in this heat in 2010.
http://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?thread=8272416Roland just ran a SB in the steeple heats. Weather isn't bad for a steeple. Not good for a 10k. Sacramento cools off very quickly. It will be 65 tmw morning. They ran morning finals in Eugene - why not here?
Let's go Engels!! Heat 1 up now.
Mental illness is cited so much now for people because you can't argue with them about it... hard to believe everyone Has it...

Honestly, something had to be wrong there. What in the world was going on at each barrier???
Gosh she looked terrible going over the barriers. Didn't seem to be overall fatigue either because she caught back up between each of them.

We need to tax the rich and provide free tnf coverage for everyone!!!!
Right, everyone should pay for only what they use! The cost of NBC's camera crew, equipment, commentators, and travel should be covered by the people who pay to watch the T&F meet!
Oh wait, you're telling me that NBC expenses to cover T&F are subsidized by my cable subscription to watch NBC? Hmmm... this is complicated.
2 x ole miss runners, and Merber, Blank as well

Komen720,
How do I get the side panel to scroll down? The 100 heats is as far down as the list goes.
Select the left, smaller panel and use keyboard arrows to go down and up

click on an event on the left hand side and then go down.
Merber is in real trouble with that (assuming 1500 guys have any brains, which is doubtful based on past experience). 3:43.80 is hardly a quick time, and he is sitting 2 of 3 in the time qualifiers.

If you can't work the usatf site, they are posting the results of every heat here:
https://citiusmag.com/2017-usatf-outdoor-championships-watch-online-live-stream-results-blog/Huge stutters by Garcia before each barrier especially the water. Almost came to a stop. Then on the second to last water barrier, a trip or something (probably from losing so much momentum w the stutters/stops) and a big splat but she got up and came back. Last water was almost worse than the fall and I thought she might resort to climbing over it. Super weird. Injury maybe? Too bad for her
Men's 1500 Heat 1
1500 Heat - #. Very tactical until the last lap. I had the splits at like 60, 2:04 and 2:49 at 1100. At the bell, Blankenship blasted it and the field soon stretched out. On the backstretch, there were only three guys that weren’t gapped by him by a lot - Merber, Engels and Kidder. Coming of the final turn, Engels moved up and looked great as he moved into second. Merber totally tied up in the last 50 and Josh Thompson went form sixth to third in the last 30 meters to grab the final auto spot.

Quite rip. She had a fairly marked limp early on, which improved a bit through the race.
Clearly had a problem that was inhibiting her takeoff. I've run a steeplechase like that, and it's not fun.
Gutsy effort under the circumstances, but she might be wise to skip the final..
JMac looking the best he has in a while, that was great. Reasonably smart running by Andrews too. On to heat 3...
merber officially done, the McNamara and soratos made that heat with the push on the 3rd lap. They were about 2 seconds down on the 1st heat with 800 to go, but 1 second up with 400 to go.
Andrews looked really good and ran smart that entire heat also, moving slowly up.

Manzano hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
His amazing streak of 11 years of top 4 at USAs is over. Manznao was up front early with Pat Casey but was nowhere to be seen when things picked up heading into the bell.
Pat Casey to the lead at the start with Manzano on his shoulder and Oregon’s Blake Haney on the rail, about 46-second first 300m. 62 first 400m. No changes coming up on 800m (2:05) with Casey still leading Manzano and Haney as they hit 800 in 2:04-5. On backstraight Jordan McNamara moves up and takes the lead from Casey (a little contact as Casey pushes McNamara’s back). Mixing up a lot on the homestretch as Andrews moves up from the back and Cristian Soratos has the lead (2:48) at the bell and Manzano is falling back. With 200 to go Soratos leads and Robby Andrews looks great as he's slowly moved up to secons, Mcnamara 4th. With 100 to go, it's clear those 2 are going to auto advance as they looked relazed and were way ahead. They almost jog it in and McNamara comes up for 3rd with (53.8 last lap). Colby Alexander closes fast to get 4th.
