any PR in this heat is UNREAL for 10K...82 degrees at the finish. Infield ran incredible.
Rogers PRd by 5 seconds
Someone give splits
well I called that one two pages back, men are actually slower than the women so far...smh.
Public service announcement: splits are pretty much live on
http://results.usatf.org/2017Outdoors/
They appear to be filling in as a result of human intervention - too slow for a machine, but they pop up without a page refresh.
Splits for lead: 72, 76, 79. So.. not fast.

even slower! 1200 in 3:48
This is by far worth the money i spent to watch...zero dollars! Everybody good is in the back. You can see Simbassa's flat top from San Francisco.

You gotta at least admit that Salazar is smarter than everyone else. Rupp is wearing the cooling hat with ice in it even though the sun is down.

Smartest? Wrong!

For a little bit they had Leonard Korir's 1600m and 1200m splits both at 3:50.77.
Bruce and another pansy already grabbing water.
5:08 mile split, like literally WHAT?!!! This is absurd.
er, screw UP.
women to 1600 in 5:02, men 5:08! Shalane may punch her ticket to London after all
Does anyone know what spikes galen is wearing

she ran a really dumb race. why become the defacto pacesetter in an incredibly hot race when you're not the fittest runner in the race?!
i know it's 'tough' to front-run, but it doesn't win much, unless you're way better than everyone. the only international stars who front run win the race by a lot.
this was a really dumb mistake. why not wait until 5k to go to put the pressure on if you want to lead a lot of laps?
shalane wasted her opportunity and all of her training. she even said she was injured
disbelief. her career is almost over and she does this
I choose you wrote:The SPT does all the heavy lifting and misses the ticket to London. Sucks.
Yeah, the thing to do in this situation is to wait until halfway. Or even: take it out the first 5 laps. There were only 6 of them left at that point! Then move out and slow down and go back to the pack. Then with 8-10 to go, bring out the SPT!
It's easy to second-guess, but I'd bet most of us would have said this before the race.
Kipchoge, at marathon race pace, would be quickly approaching lappage of this field at current pace. How crazy.
6:28 ish at 2k wi 6th all the scrubs to the front. Rupp has moved into 4 however. A couple other players positioning themselves. Everyone is getting antsy.

Actually the women were a bit faster with 5:02 at 1600 vs men's 5:08.
7:45 at 2400. Chelanga to the front with some life!
Chelanga wakes up the field with a 75 then comes back with a 64
