Interesting question here. I am a college XC runner training for my fall season, and am doing some extra aerobic cross training on the elliptical/bike. My question is: total volume held constant, is it better to do two sessions or one? I.e. doing either 1 hour today or 30 minutes today and 30 minutes tomorrow. This is in addition to my ~60mpw of running.
