Sober 4+ months and getting back into sXe hardcore. Coming up on 40 and last X'ed up at a show probably 20 years ago. Sobriety has been amazing for my running in addition to the other more important changes it's brought.

I've been listening to a lot of the classics quite a bit lately (Judge, YOT, Uniform Choice, Gorilla Biscuits) but there's actually some pretty good recent edge stuff (Protester and Pure Disgust from DC both rip, Coke Bust was a powerviolency band from a few years back that I never really gave a listen to but I have been digging this week).

Never did the no sex thing, FWIW. Never got into that hardline stuff.

I'm wondering who else is sXe is all. All through high school I saw my friends get side lined by drugs and alcohol. Straight edge validated everything I was already thinking and helped me see that I wasn't alone in being focused and clean. Straight edge isn't about bringing others down at all.
