Anyone else have the Zoom Fly's yet? My pair has arrived and my feet are in them now. Definitely a different feel to them. Looking forward to tomorrow's run to see how they feel.
Curious what others think about them if they've ran in them.
Thanks.

I got mine last week but wasn't until today that I used them on a 40 minute fartlek run (yes, I do fartleks). Compared to my zoom air pegasus 33 which I bought last month, they provide better shock protection (coming fresh off a hamstring injury it was a blessing). They will make you feel taller, (I am 5'11")The stability was excellent so I managed to keep my form better during the acceleration phases of the run, and makes landing on the ball of your feet easier, comes almost like second nature on these. Now during the easy jog in between acceleration they felt odd, I would say is not a shoe for jogging, which is ok. Too early to tell I guess. I still need to test them on a race, so my verdict is not final. Let me know how yours go.
Doesn´t feel like any other shoe I´ve tried. Feels very awkward to walk and run slowly in. It almost begs you to speed up.
I agree. Tried them for an easy run today to break them in. Actually a bit awkward at anything less than about 7:30 pace.

Well stated.

So are these the budget version of the (Vaporfly 4%) pair Kipchoge wore in Italy?
Correct. Listed as a racing shoe but really more of a light weight training version. The 4% shoe which will retail for $250 has been delayed.

Yes, same experience I had. Out of the box they felt awkward to stand in. I wore them first on a 6 mile run with no set pace in mind (ran by feel) and ran about 45-60 seconds/mile faster than normal. It helped that I felt good that day to begin with though.
Then I tried them again for a long run with tired/sore legs. My body wanted to go easy and relaxed, but the shoes wouldn't let that happen. I was still sore though, so I felt awkward and stiff the whole time.
Bottom line: not an every day trainer, but a good "secret weapon" when you need it for faster runs or races.
One other thing, with the thick midsole and fairly slick outsole, be careful turning corners or running over uneven terrain.

That is some gain, I do wonder how long the gains last? Interesting.
it was set to release on June 8th but was postponed

Kipchoge ran in the Vaporfly Elite, a shoe that isn´t for sale.
