That said, NBON is the top east coast championship meet. It falls into the same category of meets as Mt. Sac, Texas Relays, the CA and TX state meets, Brooks PR, and so on: it plays host to the top talent in a large portion of the country. There's no reason to diminish the athletes racing there.
Which explains why the best mid-distance to distance women from New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Ohio (boys & girls)), Maryland, Tennessee (both boys & girls), Virginia (boys & girls), Georgia (boys & girls), and boys from Rhode Island, Indiana and North Carolina were at Brooks...? I get that it may as well be the sprints/throws/jumps national championship...but I guess Oregon sent some assistant to cover that one...
