Unfortunately some coach will take that kid but I wouldn't touch him w a 10 foot pole. I'm guessing whoever takes him will say something like "he deserves a chance. It wasn't as it appeared." All that is code for "we will sell our soul to the devil for points."
How do you know he isn't injured? His best has gotten worse each year with a big drop this outdoor season
Christoffe Bryan isn't going back to KState. Coach is taking the high road.
“I haven’t been happy here because of the jumping with pain. They have tried stuff here and it just really hasn’t worked. I don’t think they took my knee as priority, so I have decided to leave and I will be looking to resume my collegiate career at another school.â€
Cliff Rovelto, the coach at K-State said the school’s trainers and doctors did all they could to help.
“We don’t want someone to be here that doesn’t want to be here, whatever the reason is. I have no problem with someone wanting to leave if they think that’s what’s best for them.â€
Right. If there's one thing that never happened before Millennials, it was kids transferring because they were unhappy.
Thanks for the thread Dad

lol
My concern it his jump being advertised as 2.21 or 22.21 or 222.1!
How many feet and inches?
Do we want field events to come back or don't we?
The OP is an idiot. All college athletes are young. You label them and then disparage their decisions. Grow the fucc up OP.
Why do you hate capitalism? Didn't realize there were so many SOCIALISTS on this board!
The guy is an NCAA champ with eligibility left! The DEMAND for his services should be at a premium and since he's the best at what he does, schools should SUPPLY the support and resources he needs and feels are reasonable! If the school isn't willing to give him what he wants or what he needs to succeed, then he SHOULD BE ABLE TO market his service to the highest bidder (the one that will give him want he wants!)!
If you were the best at what you did, your services/talents were in high demand, and your employer was treating you like crap/not paying you enough, you'd want to leave, too! AND YOU SHOULD.
In the track world, I keep hearing statements like "The Road to Rio," "The Road to London," "The Road to Eugene." To me, this sounds more like "The Road to Serfdom!"
Kid looks jacked for HJ
I guess Harvard isn't the only school that forces injured athletes to compete. Fire Rovelto.
Looks like he's heading to Oregon. Better physios and major Nike bucks.
My first thought: NCAA champ was obviously ILLEGALLY RECRUITED BY ANOTHER PROGRAM, covers with a complaint of any kind. BTW Cliff Rovelto is arguably the best hj coach in the country.
Not a milennial problem.
Looks like he is taking some of Usain Bolt's vitamins.
He would be a Gen-Z, not a Millennial.
Codger? Yep: guy reads a little online and thinks the 15 seconds of thought he put into it should be taken VERY seriously. After all, he knows the guy is between the ages of 18 and 21, and they're all the same.
Coach has his feeling hurt . boo hoo. I would leave too.
