- Hit USATF standard AND World standard
- Should put her top 12 or so in the US (awaiting list update from the weekend).
- Previous PB was 2:02.34
- Huge year improving from just 2:05.54 last year.

Great improvement for the former 100/200 runner! ONU also had a guy run 1:47. Go DIII!
I love her
Is she hot?
I don't know what she looks like, but she's definitely hot.

potd lol
So question of the day: Will she go pro and leave her D3 college? Or will she transfer to a D1 her last year? Will her teammate Matthew Molinaro who just ran 1:47 leave and go pro or transfer to D1 too? Being D3 athletes, they have a lot of untapped potential, especially because of their lack of resources and opportunities. Predictions or thoughts anyone?
If I were Emily Richards, I would go pro and sign with a company that would allow her to finish off her last year of college and train with her current coach. He has done really, really well developing her. You can see the progression on her TFFR's over the past three seasons. This would allow her to finish her degree, stay in a comfortable environment with the same coaches, and continue what has been working for her.
She is also proven to be successful at the next level racing other pros and can handle the rounds well. She doubled at D3 nationals with the 1500m and 800m and won both. While that is not terribly exciting, during the 800m final on the 3rd day after 3 previous races, she still ran a relaxed 2:03. Hoping that she stays healthy and fit, if she does well at nationals she will probably go pro.
Matt definitely needs to finish out his college career at ONU. He's also had a nice progression on TFFR's like Richards, but fact of the matter is the guys 800m field is a lot deeper at all levels than the girls. Sure 1:47 is really good, but it doesn't stand out like 2:00 because there are just so many good guys, and not a lot of 2:00 girls. If he drops down to a 1:45-1:46 and gets a couple national titles under his belt, then I'd say for sure go pro after college. I'm definitely excited to watch what these two can do in the future though! Pro teams need to be keeping an eye out for the both of them, lots of potential!!
She is a pharmacy major, she will finish out her schooling at ONU.
Just checked her roster info on ONU. She's actually biochemistry, which might be even harder than pharmacy haha. Maybe she'll forgo running and do something with academics. Running is cool, but it definitely doesn't pay the bills like her degree will!!
Biochemistry is the major you choose to be "pre-pharmacy".
ONU has a pharmacy program, it's on their website. She wouldn't pick biochem if she wanted to do pharmacy because she can literally do straight pharmacy there. But anyway, i diverge. She's good and all, but girls running is kind of boring. I'm much more interested in this 1:47 D3 guy!!
It doesn't matter what her major is, no one cares haha. And running is running. Sure girls isn't as exciting, but 2:00 is still an accomplishment, and so is 1:47. They're both studs and I'm going to start following the duo more closely for sure.

You're an ignorant and arrogant fool.
She ran 2:00.6 with her "lack of opportunities" after being a 2:05 last year. I'd say her coaches are doing just fine with her. D1 doesn't mean better coaches, or necessarily better opportunity for everyone. She needed time to develop and someone to set her up for long term success and its paying off.
That is just my thought wrote:

This will let her continue in an optimum environment, vs a D1 sweat shop.

I love watching the guys in their sexy shorts.
Definitely something to be said for having a more relaxed championship season at the D3 level where you can focus on building to the next level without really needing your A game. NCAA Indoor, NCAA Outdoor, and Summer Pro Circuit requires a lot of hard racing at the D1 level. I think she would be foolish to leave at this point to be a one year rental for a D1 program.
Molinaro is a "stud" with 0 d3 titles. who cares how fast you can run if you can't get it done. got 3RD outdoors, DNF last year, and 2nd indoors. not impressed by someone who's not even DIIIs best
What does ONU stand for?
