What happened to Saina? Poor performance considering she ran 30:0x at Rio.
so if we missed the live broadcast for free, we are SOL ? this is a really ugly trend

Not sure about Saina, but the conditions were not good (warm and humid) and the course is not easy. Nearly everybody (except Mary Keitany) struggled to hold the pace in the second half of the race. The last 400mt looked like a death march for most of the top women.
yup busy, 22mi long run - this is a running community no?
the good news is NOW we can watch it for free in HD, someone came to their senses
put this in VLC videolan media player

or watch on the web
wow that race was great to watch, I cannot believe how fast east-african women are - women like Jo Pavey weren't even the chase group they were all moving so fast despite momentum-breaking terrain
NBC producers need to be locked in a room and forced to watch this broadcast over and over until they get how a race should be covered.
This was very well done, minimal fluff that was still interesting, coverage of not only the lead women but the chase group with split screen views, side-views and not just lead shots, commentators were educated and responsive.
They even mentioned some of lesser known women from bowerman track club
I still don't get why in 2017 we don't have more stats shown on the screen - even the clock went away after awhile. I suspect the Japanese in 2020 will show us how it's done since they are big into overlays.
I also think overhead shots using drones would be rather cool, running looks absolutely fascinating from above.
