Details here. Very graphic. Wow. We can't believe she didn't pass out herself.

Hot right now but no posters except letsrun. Nice.
Brutal AF. I like.
Graphic is an understatement. That injury is just gruesome. Credit to her for running through it, regardless of whether it hurt or not.
I'm surprised she was able to run, seeing how close the gash was to her calf.
How much will this cost her in doctor fees to get stitched up along with anti-biotics? $50,000?
She will want a cosmetic surgeon to do the stitches in order to have a much smaller and less visible scar so it won't impact future flexibility of the area. Regular doctors stitch like a grandma quilting a blanket and leave big scars.
Wow, that is no joke.
That is so damn tough. What a tough broad. Daaaamn. Mad props.

False.

Says Dr. Frankenstein.
If you could somehow freeze time and see that gash on her leg and you were her coach, would you make her stop?
That almost looks like there could be some sort of serious longer term damage, although I'm no doctor so hopefully I'm wrong.

wont cost her anything, Athletes are insured by the universities they play for
They just came out with a taping method that replaces stitches.

Freeze frame here:
https://youtu.be/DW6gSSSTWJ4?t=1m43sShe's torn through all layers of epidermis AND hypodermis, as well as the fascia tissue on her outer calf. Possible muscle tearing as well, but it's unclear from the video.
That is one hell of a cut. Show this image to any coach and they'd pull their athlete.
Ding ding ding!!! I respect the toughness, but she should have been pulled. It is a very deep cut, and I would have worried about an artery laceration. At what point in the race did this occur.
Looks like she cut it on the base of the hurdle in the next lane. No way it should be sharp enough to do That. Better call a P I attorney , if Mormans do that sort of thing.
Adrenaline...in the midst of competition..duh.
She probably didn't feel any pain until after the race ended.
This is super dope
Kudos to her for finishing. No one would have called her a quitter if she had just stopped. I hope the impact is minimal and she's without pain.
