4:41 to win Adidas Dream Mile
4:41 to win Adidas Dream Mile
Saw her run at the Idaho State High School Meet. Impressive.
Let's hope she doesn't attempt to break Mary's "other" records.
Surprised this isn't getting more attention. She just beat brie Oakley as a freshman . She ran 4:46 as an 8th grader as well.

Agreed. Lexy is the real deal. Hugest talent we've seen in months. Much better than Brie Oakley, Claudia Lane, Rachel McArthur, or Lauren Gregory. Can't wait to see her next XC season.
cutie patootie as well.
I hope she keeps progressing like that German girl-Klosterhalfen and not peter out and disappear like all the other teen "phenoms"
Fortunately coached by the steady hand of Tracy Harris.
She's in the same district that Michael slagowski was in last year. Interesting tidbit. Ran on the same indoor team as he did. Looks like some state/school records are getting a good rewrite in Idaho.
There was a good looking sophomore boy from Timberline High. He won the 800m looked very smoothe.

You may want to consider re-phrasing that.
As for Lexy, congratulations to her! Much love to her & all the fast-milin' maidens.
a Borah kid didn't have a good season this year, but last year as a sophomore ran a 4:14. hopefully he get's his act together and runs well next year.

OK, looked relaxed. I think one of the better underclassmen.
Wow, she would have beat me by 14 seconds as a freshman (and I'm a guy). Hope she can stay healthy all through high school and hopefully still love running and be in the 4:30's her senior year.
She is not "much better" than Brie, Claudia, etc"! Consider that Lexy has been running since 6th grade, whereas Brie for 2 years and Claudia only since start of her freshman year. Brie even improved her mile time 5 seconds in 10 weeks time. Claudia on the other hand is a beast! She has yet to run full out. Even Arcadia wasn't at that level. Let's see what she does in her last race of the season at Brooks in a couple of weeks.

I would have crushed her by 100 meters my freshman year. Though she would have crushed me by a minute in 8th grade.

Cool story.

Both of these posters are amazing, and I'm so glad I got to hear their relative deltas in performance!

Unfortunately, the last time a teenaged boy used the phrase 'cutie patootie', Woodrow Wilson was president.
