Well deserved.
Well deserved.
:)
Great hair. That’s about it.
Taken from the Tennessean article: "Seigenthaler was reprimanded earlier this year for inaccurately telling parents, students, volunteers and employees that a school coach can receive money from student-athletes, according to a letter Williamson County Director of Schools Mike Looney wrote Seigenthaler on April 26."
Well there you go.
The REAL Brentwood will be back (Bumbi's alma mater). Brentwood Academy and MBA exist to be superior in every aspect to the local public schools. The real Tennessee greats have been cultivated in Nashville, as the rest of the state combined has never produced athletes up to the standard of the greats of Nashville. With the departure of Avery, the Brentwood teams will be back on par with the mediocre days of Dave Milner. He couldn't even get Keveren to figure out cross country. Although, Keveren did do exceptionally on the track. Still mind blowing that he couldn't piece it together over hill and dale.
Are you nuts? In distance running terms, Knoxville has doubled whatever Nashville has produced, even with Avery running his little Brentwood project, and has been doing so for decades.
I’m glad that Brentwood is paying the price for this, but if current news reports are accurate, Brentwood Academy has a much bigger issue on their hands than a rogue athletic department.

Which current news reports would that be?
The case involving the school’s response to the rape and sexual abuse of a twelve year old student.

Don't confuse Brentwood High School, the de facto subject of this thread, with Brentwood Academy, the posh private school just down the way. Two totally different schools.
Read my post: I distinguished between the two schools.
Where I live, the word "posh" may refer to either school.

5 years later they want to get this guy over $150? These guys are fools.
Like an investigative reports show on TV- it all makes sense. Private coaching and an AD who allowed it because he got some sugar on top of his 100k salary. Selling access to a public school track. Did this happen at any other school in the county? No. No other AD would allow it.
I bet this was not the first or the last check or cash he took to lease a public facility. Pretty gross. Keep digging.
Wasn't Keveren state XC champion both his junior and senior year (as well as 1600 & 3200 champion on the track both years too)? I'd say he pieced it together okay.
Brodey Hasty is back and ready to go running unattached! He ran 14:44 at the Adidas xc meet to win. He ran a smoking fast time, and if he holds this up he is going to do some crazy things at NXN. I think that most if not everybody would say that he is the favorite, but he may be able to pull away and win by a landslide if he can keep this up.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
