In our week that was, we initially said this about the Olympic Trials, "We 100% think the Trials should go to California."
"We 100% think the Trials should go to California."
Our logic was this, "We’ve been saying it for years and will continue saying it until we are blue – having every major track meet in Eugene isn’t good for the sport."
However, I personally and a lot of others like going to Eugene in the summer. So I changed it before we published it to this, "We 100% (one of us really likes the summer weather in Eugene and is thinking about where he would rather go) think the Trials should go to California." (Crossing out the 100%)
Apparently some of you agree. I'm not saying the Trials shouldn't go to California but as a selfish fan I'm fine with them going back to Eugene.
We got this email from a visitor today.
Weldon and Robert, my wife and I, Midwest natives, love every trip to Eugene and the opportunities of running on Pre's Trail, as well as the fantastic races at Hayward Field. We have zero desire to sit in the hot sun of summer in California. NONE, NADA, ZIP.
Our vacation desires revolve around running, and Eugene speaks to that in volumes.

No matter where the Trials go, they should pretty much sell out, but it's hard to beat the weather in Eugene in the summer.
